The Revolution (is) probable has been presented at the 11th Festival do Cine de Vigo (Vigo, Spain).
The festival took place from September 13 to 18 at the Auditorio Concello de Vigo, the Instituto Comões and the Museo Marco and has gathered feature films, video clips and short films. The 50 participating films were distributed in the sections: Eu tamén navegar, Há mais futuro que passado, Mistura de centeo, O rexurdir da terra asoballada and Ondas do mar de Vigo. The audiovisual essay The Revolution (is) probable participated in O rexurdir da terra asoballada.

30th edition of MIFDB – Barcelona

The 11th of June 2022 we present at the Filmoteca de Catalunya (Barcelona) our film The revolution (is) probable (2022) within the 30th BARCELONA INTERNATIONAL MOSTRA INTERNACIONAL DE FILMS DE DONES DE BARCELONA (MIFDB, 2 June – 14 July 2022).

On the website and in the catalog of the MIFDB, our film is defined as “a visual essay that creates a dialogue about the experiences following political changes in the Spanish state and in Portugal. The film superimposes images and comments on the Portuguese Carnation Revolution and the Spanish Transition. By contrasting experiences, the filmmakers draw diagonal paths in the narratives of two countries that have often been told separately”.

The revolution (is) probable was part of the session “Apuntes para otras historias” (Notes for other stories). We had the pleasure of sharing this session with four other short films: Zerua Blu (2021) by Lur Olaizola; A cinquito con derecho a tocar (2021) by nucbeade collective; Memòria del cos (2021) by Eva Vila and Descartes (2021) by Concha Barquero and Alejandro Alvarado.
