Sonia Kerfa

Sonia Kerfa is a Professor at the University of Grenoble-Alpes, with a degree (agrégation) in Spanish. Member of the ILCEA4 laboratory (EA 7356), associate member of Passages XX-XXI (EA 4360). Her research interests are in the visual arts in the Hispanic world, in particular the history and aesthetics of real-life cinemas (documentary, activist, experimental, filmed news, web-documentary) and issues of gender (women, homosexualities) and marginality. Currently, she is a member of the project of excellence “Produsage juvenil en las redes sociales: construcción de la identidad sexual y gestión de las desigualdades de género” (Yolanda Tortajada, Spain, 2018-2021) and co-organizes the project GAPP (Gender and Arts from a Politics and Poet(h)ique perspective). Her latest publications are Image et Sport, Lyon, Les cahiers du Grimh/PUSE, 2018, 390 p. (edited with Magali Kabous), “Las Revoluciones en el visor: intervención, persistencia y usos”, Revista FotoCinema, No. 17, July 2018 (coordinated with Pascale Thibaudeau). She was Secretary General of GRIMH (Groupe de Réflexion sur l’Image dans le Monde Hispanique) from 2012 to 2018.
