Valeria Caballero Aguilar

Her production lies between curatorship and photography. She develops her work and research around the image and multidisciplinary artistic practices in specific communities, their dynamics and their context. From 2015 to 2018 she was curator of the Casa Vecina Cultural Residency. She has been awarded four times by the Support System for Cultural Creation and Projects of the Ministry of Culture of Mexico. Her photographic work has been published in different media and virtual spaces, both in Mexico and in other countries, including the website Cubadebate and the Victoria & Albert Museum blog. Her most recent curatorship is DECLARACIÓNES C U E R P O, (Image Center of Mexico and Secretariat of Cultures, Arts and Heritage of Chile) of which a publication was made under the publishing label Temblores, part of the magazine Terremoto. She is currently working on the research Nautical chart, journey inside a museum: acquisition of a batch of Zapatista dreams within the framework of the Master’s Degree in History of Contemporary Art and Visual Culture at the Reina Sofía Museum, the Complutense University of Madrid and the Autonomous University of Madrid.
