Jacopo Galimberti es investigador postdoctoral de la British Academy de la Universidad de Manchester y director del Collège International de Philosophie. Desde 2013 ha enseñado en varias instituciones de investigación y universidades europeas como el as The Courtauld Institute of Art, SciencesPo y Parsons. The New School.
Sus investigaciones se centran en la relación entre arte y política en Europa Occidental, especialmente durante la Guerra Fría. Actualmente está trabajando en tres proyectos de libros, en concreto Images of Class. Operaismo, Autonomia and the Visual Arts (1961-1988); Détournement & Kitsch. Les cartes postales de Hans Peter Zimmer, y Global Maoism: Art, Aesthetics and the Cultural Revolution (editado con Noemi De Haro Garcia y Victoria Scott). Sus publicaciones incluyen Individuals against Individualism, Art Collectives in western Europe (1956-1969), 2017 y Fontana e l’artventura parigina (en coautoría con Silvia Bignami), 2014. Sus artículos y críticas han aparecido en diversas revistas como Critique d’Art, Les Cahiers du Musée national d’art moderne, Histoire de l’Art, Studiolo, The Art Bulletin, Art History, The Oxford Art Journal y Grey Room.
