Closing of the Cold Atlantic international conference

The international conference Cold Atlantic, held at the Reina Sofía Museum in Madrid has ended. From 5 to 7 September, three days including lectures, roundtables and discussions, exhibitions guided tours, and a screening. Thank you very much to all the participants, for making this encounter a stimulating space of dialogue! With thematic presentations, case studies, reflections about methodology and the geopolitical contexts of the Cold War and their impact on cultural and political practices, the conference provided many lines of reflection to explore a complex period of contemporary history.

Following the conference and with the same structure based on four roundtables, Cold Atlantic doctoral seminar organized on 8 and 9 September at the University of Barcelona gathered 19 PhD researchers from Europe and the Americas. Two days of discussion, with individual presentations and responses from other participants and Serge Guilbaut, Jonathan Harris, María Iñigo and Mark Nash. Serge Guilbaut and Mark Nash offered public lectures in the framework of the seminar. Many thanks to all for their great contribution to these days!

The videos of the conference in Madrid will be soon available online.
