In the framework of the conference 1968 – Alternative Genealogies and Resonances, organized by the Department of Art History of the University of Vienna, Paula Barreiro López will present the lecture “Modern Art and the Wretched of the Earth: Tricontinental Genealogies of ‘68” on Saturday, October 20th.
The conference brings together art historians, researchers and curators to reflect on the experience of 1968 and its resonances, lived or viewed from different cultural and geopolitical perspectives.
With the participation of Ekaterina Degot, Sven Lütticken, Paula Barreiro López, Gal Kirn, Caroline Lillian Schopp and Daniel Grúň.
