The international conference was intended to further the cartographic reconstruction of regional and internationalist ties that were forged by the nonaligned culture of the period running from the end of the second world conflict to the fall of the Berlin Wall.

Juan Albarrán Diego and Carles Guerra were invited to dialogue about the issue of violence and its representations in the framework of the program “Evocations of Ruin”, which questions the absences and ethical failures of the Spanish democracy when it deals with its past of war and dictatorship.
