The e-publication Conceptualism: Intersectional Readings, International Framings, Black Artists & Modernism in Europe Since 1968 is now available.
The e-publication included a collection of revised and expanded papers from the international congress CONCEPTUALISM: INTERSECTIONAL READINGS, INTERNATIONAL FRAMINGS. Black Artists & Modernism in Europe After 1968 that took place at the Van Abbemuseum in December 2017.
The e-publication addresses two broad issues: firstly, how to rethink conceptualism intersectionally and internationally as a strategy rather than as a movement; and secondly how to situate ‘black artists’ and ‘modernism’ within Europe?
Juan Albarrán contributes with the essay “Repositioning Spanish Conceptualisms: New Institutionalism, Coloniality and the Contemporary” (pp. 352-368). Here the text.
