The third annual conference of the Memory Studies Association will take place at the Complutense University of Madrid, from 25 to 28 June 2019.
Among the questions addressed by Memory Studies:
How do these representations shape our actions, identities and understandings? How do processes at the individual level interact with collectives and vice versa? What does it mean to think about “memory” in such a broad way? How are we ethically and politically obliged to remember, and what are the consequences of fulfilling, or not fulfilling, these obligations?
María Ruido participates in the session “Textures of art and memory in contemporary Spain”, sharing a table with Isaac Rosa (Novelist), Laila Ripoll (Playwright) and Clemente Bernad (Photographer) (Moderator Marije Hristova (University of Warwick). Friday 28 June at 12:45.
